How do I use my Micro-Pedi?
Turn the unit on and gently rotate (back and forth or side to side) over the callous/corn/hard skin area for 2-3 seconds. Do not press hard; just gently glide it over the area. Check if you have achieved the softness you desire. If not, go over the area again for 2-3 seconds. Continue to use this method until the desired level of softness is obtained.
Can I use the Micro-Pedi on any other part of my body?
The Emjoi® Micro-Pedi is only for use on the feet and heels. Do not use this device anywhere else on the body.
Can I use the Emjoi Micro-Pedi to get rid of dry skin on my face?
No. The Emjoi Micro-Pedi is only intended to use on the feet and heels. Do not use the unit anywhere else on the body.
Can I use the Micro-Pedi in the shower?
No. Only use the Emjoi® Micro-Pedi on dry skin. It cannot be used on wet skin or in the shower or bath.
Is the Micro-Pedi waterproof?
No. The Micro-Pedi unit itself is water resistant, but the rollers should not be rinsed or placed in water. Remove the rollers first and rinse your Micro-Pedi under running water. Do not submerge the unit into water on purpose as this may cause defects to the unit
How often can I use my Micro-Pedi?
Once or twice per week as needed.
Does the Micro-Pedi hurt?
No. The Micro-Pedi is safer and more effective than metal scrapers, which use blades to remove the dead skin and can lead to cuts. The Micro-Pedi has micro minerals that gently and effectively buff away hard skin without the risk of cuts.
What can I do for really tough calluses?
Tough calluses may require a few sessions. Turn the unit on and gently rotate (back and forth or side to side) over the callous/corn/hard skin area for 2-3 seconds. Do not press hard; just gently glide it over the area. Check if you have achieved the softness you desire. If not, go over the area again for 2-3 seconds. Continue to use this method until the level of softness is obtained. You may want to wait a day or two in between sessions. Do not use on skin that is red, irritated, inflamed, infected or blistered. Men rollers (super coarse) are available for very rough skin.
Should I let someone else use my unit?
Micro-Pedi is intended for one person. You may share the Micro-Pedi unit but you must each use different rollers. For hygienic reasons the rollers are recommended for one person only.
I have diabetes; can I use the Micro-Pedi?
Do not use if you have diabetes or poor blood circulation. If you have any skin conditions or other medical issues please consult with your physician prior to use.
Can I rinse the rollers in water?
No. The rollers should not be rinsed or placed in water.
How do I remove the roller?
Pull down the release button, on the side of the unit, while the end cap is facing up and the roller will pop out. Remove it from the cylinder holding the end cap.
How can I clean my Micro-Pedi?
Turn the unit off and use the included cleaning brush to remove any debris. Do not rinse or submerge in water.
How often do I change out my Micro-Pedi Rollers?
Rollers last a few sessions depending of frequency of use and size of area being treated. Replace as needed. When you find them less effective it is generally time to change to a new roller.
Are Emjoi Micro-Pedis only for women?
No. Men can also use the Micro-Pedi family of units. Since men tend to have rougher calluses we created the Micro-Pedi 4 Men rollers which are coarser.
What types of batteries can I use with my Emjoi Micro-Pedi? Can I use rechargeable batteries?
The battery operated Emjoi Micro-Pedi models run on 2 AA batteries. We recommend Alkaline batteries as they are more powerful than rechargeable batteries.
Why is this better than the metal tool I use now?
The Micro-Pedi is safer and more effective than metal scrapers, which use blades to remove the dead skin and can lead to cuts. The Micro-Pedi gently and effectively buffs away hard skin without the risk of cuts.
How do I install the batteries? (battery operated models only)
Remove the battery cover (bottom cap on the handle) by turning it 90 degrees to the left until it clicks into place and then pull down. Insert 2 AA batteries following the drawing on the back of the handle. Close the battery cover by turning it 90 degrees to the right until it clicks into place and locks
There are different Micro-Pedi devices; Do the refill rollers fit all of them?
The great thing about the Micro-Pedi family of products is that all the rollers and accessories work in the models.
